

Hillary Leftwich is a writer, editor, and teacher living in Denver, Colorado. She is the founder and owner of ☿ Al·che·my Author Services & Writing Workshop, teaches creative writing at Lighthouse Writers, is a professor at University of Denver’s College of Professional Studies, and is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Colorado College’s English Department. She runs the ☿ Al·che·my Writing Workshop and Community Coven–a community-based workshop where she strives to create a liberated space for all voices to be heard. She focuses her writing on class struggle, single motherhood, trauma, mental illness, the supernatural, ritual, and the impact of neurological disease. Some of her work can be found in Best Small Fictions, The Rumpus, Entropy, Denver Quarterly, and Big Other. She is the author of Ghosts Are Just Strangers Who Know How to Knock (CCM Press/The Accomplices, 2019) and Aura, a memoir, (Future Tense Books, 2022), and Saint Dymphna’s Playbook ( PANK Books, 2023).
Hillary is also an intuitive Tarologist and has been reading Tarot for over 20 years coupled with her clair abilities. She is a registered member of the Tarosophy Tarot Association and The Monroe Institute and is a student at The College of Psychic Studies. She teaches Tarot and Tarot writing workshops focusing on strengthening divination abilities as well as writing.
