About:
Hillary Leftwich is the author of three books: Ghosts Are Just Strangers Who Know How to Knock (CCM Press/The Accomplices 2019), which is one of The Accomplices Best Sellers, a finalist for Big Other’s Best Fiction Book of 2019, and voted as one of Entropy’s Best Fiction Books of 2019. Aura, a memoir, from Future Tense Books July 21st, 2022, and Saint Dymphna’s Playbook by PANK Books in 2023. She focuses her writing on class struggle, single motherhood, trauma, mental illness, the supernatural, ritual, and the impact of neurological disease. She is a Kenyon Review scholarship alumnus (2021) for CNF. Her writing has been published in print and online in Best Small Fictions (2021), The Rumpus, Entropy, Denver Quarterly, and others. She is the owner of Alchemy Author Services & Writing Workshop, teaches creative writing at Lighthouse Writers, and is a creative writing instructor at DU’s College for Professional Studies and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Colorado College. She teaches Tarot and Tarot-writing workshops focusing on strengthening divination abilities and writing.
